Construction Manager
About the Role

Airswift is partnering with a major renewable energy developer to deliver a significant wind farm project in rural South Australia. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Owner’s Site Representative to act as the client’s primary site-based representative, overseeing all construction activities and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee construction activities across multiple workstreams and contractor interfaces.

Act as the Owner’s on-site representative, ensuring delivery aligns with contractual obligations.

Lead the site-based team including civil and electrical supervisors, HSE, stakeholder engagement, and administrative staff.

Manage daily construction activities, progress reporting, and interface coordination.

Conduct site inspections, maintain compliance records, and manage defect close-outs.

Facilitate site meetings and coordinate visits from stakeholders including the Owner, Owner’s Engineer, auditors, landowners, and community representatives.

Monitor contractor quality documentation and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.

Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.

Maintain daily site logs, progress photos, and contractor reports for internal governance.

Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including risk and interface tracking.

Support commissioning, energisation planning, and final handover documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil or Electrical), Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in utility-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.

Proven ability to manage complex delivery models and multi-contractor environments.

Strong knowledge of contract administration, WHS legislation, and technical standards.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to work independently in remote environments and manage competing priorities.
