Purpose of Position
To ensure the construction quality, structure and facilitate budgets, set and maintain schedules, oversee on-site safety and make sure that everyone completes duties on time
Major Responsibilities
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans that outline timelines, resources, and budget allocations for each phase of the project. They set clear objectives and milestones to guide the project.
Scheduling: Prepare and manage schedules that coordinate the activities of various team members and suppliers, ensuring efficient project execution. This includes using tools like Gantt charts to visualize timelines and track progress.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, making financial decisions that align with project objectives. They analyze costs related to materials, labor, and equipment, and ensure that expenditure remains within budget.
Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all construction activities adhere to legal regulations and safety standards is crucial. Construction Managers conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety training for workers to minimize risks.
Quality Control: Supervise construction procedures to ensure that all work meets the required quality standards without exceeding budget constraints. This involves regular site inspections and quality assessments.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining clear communication with project stakeholders, including clients, construction teams, and executives, is essential. Construction Managers provide updates on project progress and address any challenges that arise.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process, such as delays, safety concerns, or supply chain disruptions. Effective problem-solving skills are vital in this role.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate construction teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned with project goals and timelines. They facilitate collaboration among various stakeholders to enhance project efficiency.
Review the QA/QC plan Check the conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the relevant documentation. Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Clients requirements. Reviews the laboratory examination results. Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.
Requirements
B.Sc in Civil engineering from deputed University Minimum 18-20 years of experience. PMP certified engineer preparable. Previous experience of supervision of multi discipline Project support teams for at least 5 years.Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
Level of basic construction Quality Assurance and Quality Control knowledge. Timely prepared the daily/weekly/month report Timely and properly, issue non-compliance report. Flawless report preparation.
