Airswift is seeking a experienced Construction Manager to join a leading project team in Guyana. This full-time role offers the opportunity to lead and manage the safety, performance, and execution of construction activities across various onshore and offshore projects. The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Location: Guyana (Full-time, 3-year contract)
Work Schedule: 50 hrs/week (5 days/week, 10-hour day rate)

Key Responsibilities:
Safety Leadership: Serve as a Leader of safety through coaching, active participation, and leadership in safety programs. Communicate safety expectations clearly to the workforce and support incident response activities.
Construction Project Leadership: Oversee and lead performance in all construction phases, including planning, scheduling, mobilization readiness, fabrication, construction, and completions/turnover.
Brownfield Project Support: Support the growing portfolio of brownfield projects across onshore sites (pipeline, shorebases, fabrication yards for SURF equipment, etc.) and FPSOs, ensuring project goals are met.
Contractor Oversight: Review contractor construction planning, productivity, quality, procurement, subcontracting, and scheduling. Implement improvements to enhance safety, quality, and performance.
Work Planning & Coordination: Develop work packages, coordinate vendors, and ensure work readiness, driving safe execution both onshore and offshore.
Mobilization & Readiness: Oversee the mobilization process, ensuring all disciplines are prepared for constraint-free, safe work execution.
Construction Surveillance & Reporting: Monitor ongoing construction work to ensure conformance with engineering, safe work practices, applicable codes, and regulatory standards. Provide progress reports on construction activities.
Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with operations teams on permitting, energy isolation plans, shared resources, and work turnover. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and efficient project delivery.
Quality Compliance: Ensure compliance with mechanical completion, system completion, and turnover procedures, and participate in inspections.
Digital Tool Implementation: Advocate for and implement digital tools to improve construction processes, safety, and performance.
Local Fabrication Support: Identify opportunities to grow local fabrication capabilities and provide support from RFQ through to package completion.
Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with project teams, logistics, supply chain, and contractors to ensure synergies and safely deliver work on time and within scope.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Experience: At least 10 years of proven experience in offshore oil and gas construction projects, particularly in brownfield projects and frontier locations.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing construction teams, contractors, and ensuring safe and efficient execution.
Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of construction processes, planning, and contractor management, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
Digital Competency: Experience with digital tools and technology to streamline construction and improve efficiency.
Advanced/Fluent English communication skills
Adaptability: Willingness to work full-time in Guyana
