Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a Construction Inspector to provide onsite construction management services for the Construct In-Transit Munitions Facility in Dover, Delaware. The role involves performing full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Construction Inspection Services, which includes continuous surveillance throughout the construction process. This role will be responsible for reviewing and developing draft responses to all construction submittals for Government use, including shop drawings, product data, testing data, and construction schedules. **Job Summary Details:** + Reviewing and preparing draft Government responses to the Construction Contractor’s submitted Requests for Information (RFIs) + Ensuring the accuracy of the information based on current site conditions. + Performs routine duties. + Knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications. + Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work. + Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design. + Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting. + May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + HS + 10 Years of relevant experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing, to include three (3) years of quality control management of DoD construction projects. + Due to the nature of the project US citizenship is required + Up to 50% of the time the position needs to move about indoor and outdoor construction site environments with uneven terrain, variable environmental conditions including heat, dusts, noise, moisture, and dryness + Occasionally (10-25% of workday) performing repetitive bending/stooping, repetitive or fine hand movements, working at heights, and lifting and carrying equipment weighing less than 25 pounds + At times the position requires working with arms above shoulder level, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), climbing stairs, using portable ladders, wearing fall protection, working in confined spaces, and lifting greater than 25 pounds + The position requires wearing associated personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, hearing protection, and fall protection **Preferred Requirements** + Civil Engineering Degree and three (3) years of quality control management for DoD construction projects. + Certified completion of a professionally accredited Quality Control Management Course (e.g., conducted by the US Army Corps of Engineers or an independent private company) within the last five (5) years; Contractor’s self-developed programs will not fulfill this requirement. + Technical expertise to perform payment inspections and validation of progress against the AF IMT 3065 forms. + Experience using Microsoft Office and experience using RMS. + Knowledge of the USACE Three Phase Inspection Process + Knowledge of EM 385-1 Safety Requirements + CQM Certification **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position + Due to the nature of the project US citizenship is required + Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background checks. Projects/clients are security sensitive. + Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
