Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector at (EAA) Reservoir project in South Florida. This role will be to compile field data and documented work into GMCRs to ensure that materials and methods of construction comply with design specifications, geotechnical recommendations and industry standards, as well as quality control and assurance protocols.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides basic support in the areas of project controls, scheduling, scheduling analysis, earned value management, and construction inspection activities in support of projects. Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation. General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
HS + 10 Years of relevant experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing.Due to the nature of the project US citizenship is requiredMust pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background checks.Must pass pre-employment drug screen.Up to 50% of the time the position needs to move about indoor and outdoor construction site environments with uneven terrain, variable environmental conditions including heat, dusts, noise, moisture, and drynessOccasionally (10-25% of workday) performing repetitive bending/stooping, repetitive or fine hand movements, working at heights, and lifting and carrying equipment weighing less than 25 poundsAt times the position requires working with arms above shoulder level, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), climbing stairs, using portable ladders, wearing fall protection, working in confined spaces, and lifting greater than 25 poundsThe position requires wearing associated personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, hearing protection, and fall protectionPreferred Qualifications:
Associates or technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Geology, or related field.Previous field experience in large civil works projectsPrevious USACE experienceFamiliarity with the RMSAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this positionDue to the nature of the project US citizenship is requiredAbout AECOM
