Job Title: Construction Inspector
Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-driven and technically skilled Construction Inspector to oversee and evaluate construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory standards. This role involves both routine and complex inspections, requiring a strong understanding of construction practices, materials, and civil engineering principles. The ideal candidate is confident working independently or collaboratively, depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive inspections on a variety of construction projects, from standard to complex.Confirm proper materials and construction methods are used in accordance with project specifications.Interpret and analyze construction drawings and technical documents.Operate advanced inspection tools and perform technical calculations.Document inspection results accurately and communicate findings to project stakeholders.Evaluate construction designs and methodologies for compliance and quality.Adjust to varying levels of supervision based on project complexity and personal expertise.Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction inspection and general construction practices.Strong grasp of civil engineering fundamentals.Ability to perform and verify complex technical calculations.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.Preferred Skills:
Experience developing accurate service line inventories.Ability to identify and assess unknown pipe materials.Familiarity with digital tools for managing construction and compliance data.Knowledge of piping systems and GIS technologies is a plus.Work Environment:
This position supports a diverse range of clients—including federal, public, private, and international—on infrastructure and transportation projects. You’ll contribute to program management, design-build initiatives, and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $38.50/hr.
