Description We are looking for a skilled Construction Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring over five years of experience in managing financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and sales tax. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects and ensuring accuracy in all bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities: • Oversee full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. • Prepare monthly financial reconciliations, including bank accounts, expenses, and accounts. • Manage sales tax reporting and compliance, maintaining accurate records. • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to perform daily bookkeeping tasks and track financial data. • Handle AIA billing and documentation to support construction project requirements. • Ensure accuracy and organization in financial records for multiple ongoing projects. • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and resolve discrepancies. • Generate financial reports to support decision-making and provide insights into company performance. • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies. • Support month-end closing processes and assist with audits when necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for managing financial tasks. • Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Experience with AIA billing and related documentation. • Strong skills in bank, account, and expense reconciliations. • Familiarity with sales tax reporting and compliance. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. • Excellent organizational and communication skills for collaborating effectively with the team.
