**Job Description**
**Senior Construction Manager:**
AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager / Senior Construction Engineer to support Design Services During Construction (DSDC) for the Water Business Line on a large, multidisciplinary construction project in Barbados. The role will be **based out of Trinidad** , with full-time presence at the project site during normal construction hours; occasional night and weekend work may be required. The selected candidate will interact daily with the client and the construction management firm (CMF), working with an in-office Project Engineer, local site inspectors, and reporting directly to the Project Director.

The responsibilities of the Construction Manager include, but are not limited to:
+ Construction Project Management (e.g. directing field engineering team, interface to the in-office engineers-of-record and discipline leads, project progress reports, project team coordination for all construction submittals, direct client and CMF coordination, timely delivery of responses to all construction submittals, RFI’s, RFC’s, CO’s, etc., monitoring and reporting of QA/QC compliance and overall quality system, recommendations for contracting strategies)
+ QA/QC reviews and compliance
+ Coordinate and liaise with AECOM’s Onsite Safety Officer;
+ Oversee construction of wastewater and water treatment facilities with the support of the construction team
+ Work with CMF and Construction Contractor in expediting solutions to technical field problems
+ Development and deployment of overall elements of the project delivery plan
+ Oversee the development and management of project risks
+ Oversee commissioning, contracted operations and facility handover for water and wastewater treatment facilities
+ Provide project management for procurement, scheduling, constructability reviews, HS & E program development and implementation, client relationship, and public relation and community engagement management
+ Review, coordinate, and adjudicate all construction submittals
+ Coordinate directly with Lead Design Engineer and Design Team discipline leads on all design changes and construction submittals
+ Participate in the negotiation of change orders specific to design changes
+ Notification to the CMF of any observed work that does not conform to the requirements of the contract documents; and
+ Participate in and document all construction meetings onsite (e.g. daily tailgate/safety meetings, weekly construction meetings, etc.).
+ Lead job cost reporting and budget control activities through the life of the project with the support from project controls and finance
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements :**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or another related field
+ 10+ years’ professional experience in construction contract administration of wastewater/ reuse or water reclamation facilities
+ Senior leadership role(s) on medium to large capital wastewater reuse project(s)
+ Knowledge and experience in design and construction of wastewater and wastewater reuse treatment plants
**Preferred Qualifications :**
+ 15+ years’ experience in the design and/or construction of wastewater treatment plants and/ or water reclamation/ reuse facilities, specifically related to engineering design services during construction
+ 10+ years experience as FIDIC Engineer on EPCT Contracts
+ Have supervised at least five (5) completed construction projects in the field, having minimum capital value of $25 million construction value for each project, where at least three of the projects was related to wastewater treatment plant or water reclamation/ reuse facility.
+ Held a lead role (e.g. Lead Technical Engineer/Project Manager/Engineer-of-Record/Construction Manager) on at least two (3) of the five (5) projects;
+ Ability to lead teams, respond to changing demands, be decisive under pressure, and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnel
+ Experience in construction contract administration and/or management
+ Experience with projects under litigation
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
+ Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
+ Construction cost estimating experience
+ FIDIC experience
