Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Engineering Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee various construction engineering projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.

Manage and coordinate multiple construction engineering projects, overseeing budgets, schedules, and resourcesDevelop and implement project plans, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and local building codesLead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environmentInterpret and execute complex technical assignments, often requiring multi-disciplinary engineering knowledgeDevelop novel concepts and approaches to address unique or challenging construction problemsMaintain effective communication with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholdersConduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutionsAnalyze project data and prepare comprehensive reports for upper management and clientsStay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in construction engineeringEnsure compliance with all relevant local and federal regulations throughout project lifecycles

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:  

BA/BS + 8 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Experience: 

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred10 years of relevant experience in construction engineering, with a proven track record of successful project managementPrior experience working with ADOT or State DOT clients Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and safety regulationsExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teamsProficiency in construction management software and CAD programsSolid understanding of project financials, including budgeting and cost controlOutstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholdersExperience with local Department of Transportation projects is highly desirableFamiliarity with roadway construction is a plusProfessional Engineering (PE) license is preferred
