Construction Engineer (Jacket, Nationals Only)
KEY ROLES The SDC Jacket Construction Engineer will support the planning, coordination and execution of all construction activities related to jacket substructure for the SDC Jacket. The construction engineer responsible for fabrication, assembly and load out of the jacket and piles which will be performed in accordance with project specifications, CLIENT  requirements and Safety/ Quality standards and schedule commitment with specific emphasis as follows; Demonstrate excellent personal HSSE leadership and HSE behaviours. Lead, by example, with regards to company’s HSE policy. Implement COMPANY HSE standards through self-verification and oversight activities across the fabrication facility, ensuring investigation and follow-up where required. Assist Jacket Construction lead in the development and review of construction plans, drawings and procedures for jacket fabrication and installation. Actively participate in construction-related decisions; collaborate with Jacket Construction lead to provide a discipline perspective to schedules, design deliverables, materials purchases, material delivery configuration and sequence BASIC SKILLS Demonstrable structural construction & engineering competencies with exemplary levels of communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of offshore structures, steel fabrication processes and construction management. Experience with HSSE issues related to on-site construction activities. Understanding of CLIENT  Construction Defined Practice and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical engineering technical discipline Desired:     Proven track record delivering required role or similar within the Oil & Gas Industry :EXPERIENCE (5+ years) of experience in offshore jacket fabrication and construction projects (preferably for CLIENT  projects). Familiarity with international codes and standards: API, AWS, DNV and CLIENT  specifications and standards. Previous participation in Load-out, transportation and installation activities is also desirable experience. Familiarity with project specifications and drawings review process. Effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, including structural, marine, QA/QC and HSE teams. Fluency in English and Azerbaijani required. RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES Participate in risk assessments, HSE reviews, toolbox talks to enforce safe work practices. Track and report construction progress, deviations, and look-ahead plans to the Construction lead. Maintain accurate records, red-line drawings, and as built documentation. Support the load out, sea fastening and sail away preparations of the Jacket structure and piles. Monitor and oversight structural steel fabrication, fit-up, welding and inspection activities at the fabrication yard. Conduct filed inspection and Oversight checks to identify any technical issues during fabrication and assembly to resolve them in proactive manner. Coordinate with engineering procurement and construction teams to ensure work is carried out in accordance with project schedules and specifications. Provide field engineering support, resolve design or site issues, and liaise with the engineering team to address and technical queries. Support safe construction practices by integrating quality assurance with HSE procedures. Liase with contractors, and CLIENT  site teams to resolve quality issues and provide technical guidance in particular the CLIENT  site Lifting Team. Track daily progress, identify delays, or bottlenecks, and support adherence to project schedule. Liaise on a ‘day-to-day’ basis with COMPANY Jacket Construction Lead, raise adverse trends/events throughout the construction cycle and areas affecting construction progress. Actively work with all required parties to achieve timely resolution. Perform the role of COMPANY Construction representative during the formal Mechanical Completion (MC) walkdown and sign-off process across structural elements. Coordinate punch-list close-out with Contractor. Ensure readiness reviews are conducted prior to defined construction activities. Input to construction risk identification and management and owns construction risk action plans Identify areas for optimising fabrication work processes across structural fabrication scope. Drive process improvement activities with appropriate teams and realise measurable results.
Objectives: Delver jacket and piles fabrication and load out safely, on time and within budget while maintaining high quality and HSE standards. Ensure full compliance with CLIENT ’s specification, engineering, safety and environmental requirements. Minimize rework by proactively resolving technical issues and maintaining construction discipline on site.
