Construction Design Specialist

We are looking for a driven and structured Construction Design Specialist who enjoys working independently and being part of a motivated team within an entrepreneurial culture that is fast-paced and informal. You value accountability and are motivated by delivering value through collaboration, store planning, and active portfolio management and follow-up, all while reflecting unwavering integrity. You will be an integral part of the Design and Construction group for NTI projects throughout North America and will be responsible to create and maintain prototype plans from information received from multiple groups within Circle K.
ResponsibilitiesReviews all prototype plans, validates, and creates new versions as requested.Reviews concept site plans and redlines based on published standards.Coordinates with Design Group to maintain site plan templates.Develop and maintain Construction Bulletins as needed.Review construction documents to confirm adherence to prototype standards.Works with Operations, to develop new proposed floor/site plans utilizing current prototype layouts.Distributes weekly or bi-weekly reporting, as necessary.Updates tracking database (Smartsheets) with required dates/data provided by the Construction staff.Follows up with municipalities to ensure any requirements are followed during the creation of a new site plan.Works with project Civil Engineers to ensure prototype and plan accuracy.Assists in the entitlement process as needed.Files, scans, and organizes documents, as needed.Performs other job-related projects and tasks as assigned.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing all other related results as needed.Experience And Personal QualitiesHigh school diploma or GED, Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design preferred. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at any given time.Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work well with Design, Development, Operations, Internal Global groups, and outside design consultants.Minimal travel required.Excellent AutoCAD skills.Excellent REVIT Skills.Experience from large/complex organizations.Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft applications, specifically including but not limited to AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
