Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Construction/Delivery Director to join our team for a major aviation program in the European Union (EU).

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides leadership and management of all on-site construction activities for a major aviation program in the EU, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and safe execution of the work. The Construction Director will oversee construction operations across multiple disciplines, coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, and ensure program objectives are achieved in line with EU regulations and client requirements.

This role requires significant expertise in the delivery of international airport construction projects.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead all site-based construction management activities for aviation infrastructure works.Ensure construction excellence, effective contractors/subcontractors management, and integration of design, logistics and operational requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.Act as the senior authority on construction execution, supervising contractors, site managers, and field engineers.Ensure compliance with project objectives for scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality.Manage site logistics, sequencing, and phasing to enable efficient delivery of complex airport facilities.Review and approve contractors’ construction plans, schedules, and method statements.Oversee progress monitoring, site reporting, and resolution of construction issues.Lead coordination between client, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.Manage change control procedures on site, ensuring contractual and technical compliance.Ensure successful delivery of works leading to airport commissioning and operational readiness.Mentor and provide leadership to construction teams, ensuring consistent adherence to safety and quality standards.Enforce compliance with EU aviation construction standards, environmental requirements, and sustainability practices.Represent Parsons at site meetings, inspections, and stakeholder forums.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s (Master’s degree preferred) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 15 years of Construction Management experience .At least 15 years of experience in international airport construction projects, including 5+ years of additional senior experience managing large-scale airport construction programs.Proven experience as Construction Director, or Construction Manager in delivering new airport construction or major airport expansion projects involving increased passenger capacity.Strong knowledge of international construction methods, aviation standards, and EU regulations.Native Polish speaker or Fluent in Polish (mandatory).Excellent command of English for international reporting and coordination.Professional registration (CEng, PMP, CCM, or equivalent) preferred.Previous EU or international airport/infrastructure project experience highly desirable.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Strong leadership in managing large, complex construction operations.Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills.Proven ability to deliver aviation construction projects exceeding EUR 1B investment value.In-depth knowledge of EU health, safety, and quality standards.Strong planning, sequencing, and logistical management abilities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in Polish and English.Ability to mentor and lead diverse construction teams in complex environments.Demonstrated track record of successful handover of airport facilities for commissioning and operation.
