Job Purpose
+ Provide on-site coordination and day-to-day supervision of construction activities on the ROO brownfield project to ensure safe, timely, and quality-focused execution.
+ Serve as the on-site liaison between construction teams, engineering, procurement, and project controls to ensure alignment with specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
+ Support the on-site Project Manager in planning, resource coordination, progress tracking, issue resolution, and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
On-site Coordination and Execution
+ Coordinate daily field activities with subcontractors and internal crews to optimize work sequencing and productivity.
+ Monitor work progress, verify field changes, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and procedures.
+ Support commissioning readiness by coordinating handover packages and punch lists.
Safety, Quality, and Compliance
+ Enforce site safety rules, permit-to-work systems, and risk controls; participate in safety meetings and near-miss investigations.
+ Help ensure quality control through adherence to QA/QC procedures, inspection checklists, and workmanship standards.
+ Ensure compliance with KBR standards, Iraqi regulations, and project-specific requirements.
Scheduling and Resource Coordination
+ Communicate daily and weekly work plans to field teams; track progress against the baseline schedule.
+ Coordinate material deliveries, equipment mobilization, and contractor readiness to minimize downtime.
+ Flag potential schedule conflicts and support mitigation planning with the Project Controls team.
Documentation and Reporting
+ Maintain accurate site logs, daily progress reports, field change notices, and as-built information.
+ Support the preparation of progress, productivity, and safety reports for project leadership.
+ Ensure proper documentation for QA/QC, permits, and compliance records.
Issue Resolution and Interface Management
+ Identify field issues, coordinate with engineering and procurement to resolve design or material challenges.
+ Manage interfaces between construction, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to maintain alignment.
Close-out and Handover
+ Support final inspections, turnover packages, and commissioning handover activities.
+ Assist in creating as-built documentation and project close-out deliverables.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; technical diploma acceptable with relevant experience.
+ 25+ years of experience in construction within brownfield or on-site environments, ideally in oil & gas or energy sectors.
+ Proven track record coordinating multi-discipline field teams on complex projects.
Technical Skills
+ Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and field QA/QC practices.
+ Familiarity with project controls interfaces (scheduling input, progress measurement, and change management) and common construction management software or tools.
+ Understanding of safety regulations, permit-to-work processes, and regulatory compliance in Iraq.
Soft Skills
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse teams.
+ Proactive problem-solving, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
+ Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage changing field conditions.
+ Collaborative approach with a focus on teamwork and on-site leadership.
Work Environment
+ On-site Basra, Iraq, 28/28 rotation.
+ Industrial construction environment typical of brownfield oil & gas projects.
+ Exposure to outdoor conditions, heavy equipment, and construction activities.
+ Access-controlled site with compliance to security and safety protocols.
