Position Summary:
As a Connected Worker Manager on the Manufacturing Analytics and Transformation team, you will have a pivotal role in advancing how our workforce connects, learns, and grows. You and your team will design and implement ADM’s Global Connected Worker Strategy, describing the use of digital tools and data systems that empower our workforce now and in the future.
This role is more than just technology—it's about shaping the employee experience through intuitive systems, meaningful data, and scalable learning opportunities. You’ll partner across teams to elevate performance, enhance engagement, and foster a culture of continuous development.
Strong leadership skills are essential to build, develop, and sustain a high-performing team that delivers innovative, reliable, and scalable connected worker solutions across Global Operations.
About the Connected Worker Team
This team of engineers and specialists will connect shop floor operations with executive decision making. This involves devices used by front line employees and their accompanying technology stack along with dashboards, reports, and other tools used by managers and executive leadership.
You and your team will work closely with business and operations leadership, operational and global technology teams, the front line workforce, process automation, and other key partners and stakeholders to deliver value and replicate successful strategies across the organization, from design to change management, support, and sustainment.
Job Responsibilities:Improve how the workforce leverages technologyMaintain a strong partnership with the workforce to understand their needs, including front line employees across the organization.Represent the voice of the employees and advocate for them in strategy sessions and other meetings—ensuring solutions align with real-world experience and support day-to-day successTranslate data insights into actionable feedback loops that drive workforce engagement and operational excellence.Partner with operations leadership to align priorities, including Global Learning and Development to design, create or manage training. *TODO: add more or remove specific example*Drive innovationLead the definition of technology strategies, roadmaps, standards, and architectureImplement and sustain technology that supports performance and growth.Lead or support cross-functional solution design involving mobile devices, supporting infrastructure, software applications, cloud platforms, and security.Implement solutions that are prioritized by executive leadership, leveraging a deployment plan to maintain accountability and communicate progressStay connected to technologies available in the market and used in the industry in priority areas or categories.Manage the lifecycle of connected worker solutions process to ensure those solutions remain effective.Help maintain and develop technical standardsLead the creation of scalable training and enablement programs built around mobile platforms and digital workflows.Develop, track, and report metrics to represent status and performance of connected worker solutions. Maintain a strong review and responseLead a high-performing teamCoach and mentor your team; nurture a culture of innovation, trust, and career development.Provide clear direction, set expectations, and align team goals with organizational objectives.Coach, mentor, and support team members in their professional growth and career development.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.Support other teams that want to consider other ideas and technologiesSome travel and on-call work are expected as part of this positionRequired Skills:Experience in supporting plant operations and 24/7 operating requirementsExperience with mobile worker platformsKnowledge of data visualization and automation best practicesStrong interpersonal collaboration skills and ability to work across technology domainsStrong verbal skills and ability to communicate both upward and downExcellent technical design skillsRequired Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline Experience working with enterprise-level technologiesExperience providing support for production systems.Ability to travel or work on-call as neededExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
