Our Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. Supported by ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. Join our team as a Configuration Manager to lead our transition from IPESA to Palma (Windchill) and drive excellence in configuration management (CM) across our programs and products.

Working at our Benalla sites on Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is to:

Lead and manage the configuration management (CM) discipline, providing functional and operational oversight for programs and products

Oversee CM projects, ensuring a seamless migration from IPESA to Palma (Windchill)

Support the full program and product lifecycle, from bid and acquisition to in-service support and disposal

Tailor the Project Lifecycle Management system to meet contracted requirements

Ensure configuration control, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide training on Palma (Windchill)

 

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours: 

 

Proven experience in configuration management, ideally with expertise in IPESA and/or Windchill (Palma) systems

Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex transitions

Excellent understanding of CM principles, data management, and system integration

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., CMII, ISO, or equivalent)

A technical qualification relating to configuration management Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience

The U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
