CACI's Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals and communications systems.

We are looking to hire a Configuration Manager to join our team. In this position, you will lead the site's Configuration Management processes, provide administrative oversight of all engineering design documentation and part numbers, and ensure successful execution of product revisions throughout the entire design lifecycle. This position will primarily support Design Engineering, but will collaborate directly with Purchasing, Operations, and Inventory management.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain the site's Configuration Management database, infrastructure, plans, and processes for the Engineering development and Manufacturing teamsUtilize Configuration Management tools to store, track, and manage release hardware and software revisionsIdentify, introduce, and lead implementation of enhancements and improvements to Configuration Management system and policiesLead Configuration Management discipline for the entire product lifecycle, from initial prototyping through end-of-lifeWork with Engineering and Operations teams in support of all Configuration Management requirements, change controls, and deviationsSuccessfully manage and archive all process change releases and deviationsAbility to support creation and implementation of policy and process documentation, coordinating with stakeholders on new baselines or changes

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience (or equivalent work experience) in Configuration Management or related product lifecycle activitiesThere is no clearance requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment you may be required to obtain a Secret clearance.Experience working alongside Engineering hardware and software teams to create and manufacture commercial productsExcellent understanding of Engineering development processes and how to apply best Configuration Management practicesDemonstrated ability to incorporate and implement Engineering lifecycle policies and proceduresExperience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systemsPreferred experience working with Manufacturing planning and inventory systems

Knowledge of EE principles with experience in printed circuit board assemblies, design drawings, and component typesPreferred experience with Department of Defense (DoD) products and customersActive Secret or higher security clearanceEngineering degree preferredKnowledge of mechanical engineering principles with experience with custom mechanical hardware, design drawings, and fabricationFamiliarity with production test and assembly

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$61,600-$129,300
