Configuration Engineer responsible for configuration control, change management, and product data management across the product lifecycle.
Job Requirements
3–5 years of experience in configuration engineering, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry
Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent technical discipline
Experience managing and auditing Bills of Material (BOMs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and technical documentation
Experience managing configuration control databases and Product Data Management (PDM) systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Windchill)
Working knowledge of configuration management standards (e.g., MIL-STD-973, EIA-649)
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and document control systems
Status as a U.S. person or eligibility to obtain required Export Authorization
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Experience with PLM systems for engineering CAD files (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD)
Knowledge of Costpoint ERP or other ERP systems
Mechanical design experience using 3D solid modeling tools
Knowledge of MIL, ASTM, ASME, IAW, and related technical standards
Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management standards
Background in systems engineering or configuration management
Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Configuration Management Plans and procedures
Manage and control engineering changes through Change Control Boards (CCBs)
Maintain and audit BOMs, ECNs, and associated technical documentation
Administer and maintain configuration control databases and PDM systems
Ensure configuration records are accurate, current, and compliant for customer deliveries and regulatory requirements
Support product lifecycle activities from concept through production and sustainment
Apply configuration management standards and best practices to engineering data, documentation, and product baselines
Pay: 33-45

Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
