Job Description

This role is based in our Bugis Junction Towers office. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conference Producer to join the Asia Tech x Singapore portfolio. You’ll work in one of the world’s most diverse and fastest-growing tech ecosystems to deliver one of Asia’s largest technology events.  

Based out of Informa Festival’s Singapore Office, the role will require work across the full breadth of Asian tech, telecoms, and media – producing content that brings industry leaders together around the goal of using technology to empower society and enterprise.

You’ll work with government and regulator, global tech giants, telcos, connectivity providers, charities and NGOs, and the world’s biggest brands to explore solutions to the most pertinent tech challenges.

Asia is a diverse mix of 48 nations – you can expect a vibrant, fast-paced and rewarding market in which to work.

We’re seeking an intelligent and entrepreneurial individual with exceptional communication and content skills to contribute to the growth and development of the event.

Your key remit and responsibilities will be to produce and deliver a range of high-quality, impactful, and commercially viable content agendas and networking features that reflect and match the needs of the market. You’ll follow the market closely and become a sector expert in your content area, working to discover new opportunities and potential launch events across the continent.

The ability to be a productive part of various teams simultaneously, and prioritise jobs effectively across them, is of critical importance. The challenge of managing and meeting deadlines for the market’s precise but changing needs are matched by the intellectual stimulation, opportunity to work with senior industry figures on a peer basis, international travel, and attractive financial rewards.

The position is best suited to a self-motivated, strategic and confident individual who is happy to work individually and as part of a team in a creative, strategic way; someone who can implement innovative ideas successfully.

With telephone research and face-to-face meetings a critical element of the role, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to forge professional relationships easily, with internal and external stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Researching the viability of conference topics through in-depth research with senior industry figuresValidating, in detail, the conference programme by contacting a cross section of the target market through phone, desk research and meetings to determine which subjects are needed by the marketAttending relevant industry and competitor events (in UK and abroad) to meet key partners and clientsWorking with the Sales Team to find leads and identify additional revenue generating opportunitiesWorking with associations and creating and running an advisory board when appropriateIdentifying, contacting and recruiting speakers onto the programme, once on-board you’ll brief speakers on the session and topic and introduce to moderators and fellow panellistsBriefing and motivating all internal project teams on content and feature developmentWriting promotional copy for website, marketing and other promotional materialsIdentifying priority audience segments and working with marketing to ensure targeted outcomesWorking with operations to ensure costs are in-line with budgets and to deliver the productBecome the lead contact and strategic mind behind the conferenceProduction of post-conference report and post-event analysis

QualificationsBachelor's degree or higherYou will have at a years’ experience in content, event or editorial productionYou will have an entrepreneurial, intelligent, positive and hard-working attitudeYou will be commercially astute with a constant desire to find out more about the rapidly evolving Asian tech marketsYou will have strong analytical research and writing skills that enable you to build an understanding in the various tech, telecoms and media ecosystems you will be investigatingYou will also be creative with strong self-drive, project management skills
