The Condition Based Maintenance Engineer is the technical expert for the parts life and maintenance plan rules for the Gas Turbine flange to flange, Auxiliary Systems, Turbo and Motor compressor. This specific position covers for Aeroderivative Gas Turbines such as LM2500, PGT25, LMS100, LM6000 and LM9000.
He/She will use field data collection, condition based and predictive maintenance techniques, residual life estimate and related endeavors to develop the maintenance rules to sustain the Contractual Service agreements and all the related functions such as Operation, Risk and Financial.
As Condition Based Maintenance Engineer you will :
Assess the risk for unit operated with extended maintenance intervals beyond reference maintenance intervals.Support New Program Development by transferring Service requirements, report field experience and develop life models to support the program.Support the development and the continuous update to the parts life rules included on the ATAs policies.Support and lead technology productivity projects.Perform field inspections aimed to verify parts status, quantify their defects with respect to the expected life performance and finally to fine tune life models.Build GT components history through repair and field Gas Turbine maintenance events analyses.Coordinate the monitor and the analyses for Fleet Leader Components.Collaborate with GE Aerospace technical teams to manage required inputs and share analysis results.Develop empirical/statistical models to predict forced outage exposure, Gas Turbines capital parts fallout rates and their replacement life limit.Support the development of Hybrid Physics part life models and their implementation into the CBM-Online infrastructure.Interact with the BH Digital Teams to support the delivery of predictive technology products/analytics and services for maintenance optimization and parts life assessmentPrepare Condition Based Maintenance program design reviews with Chief Engineers and manage the relevant action items.Support Product Service Service Request along Root Cause Analyses.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have :
Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering degree or related engineering experience.Knowledge/Experience for the development of statistical methods.Gas Turbine or other Oil & Gas equipment design experience:Knowledge of Gas Turbine and Turbo Compressors design and plant maintenance operationGas Turbines design and operability experience.
Reliability methodology and techniques for empirical modeling developmentStrong technical, project management, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of programming languages to interact with Digital Teams on product development.Repair technology and procedures knowledge relating to Gas Turbines.
Demonstrated ability to own resolution and closure of complex issues.Understanding the business of gas turbine operation.Motivated self-starter, promotes teamwork in a cross functional environment, and has excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
