Black & McDonald’s Dartmouth office is looking for a full-time hands-on leader with a passion for concrete work that can work on a wide variety of Civil, and concrete forming projects. You would be working with a Team of experienced workers in a safe working environment in HRM and the surrounding area. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leading and mentoring a hardworking crew, ensuring every project runs smoothlyCivil work including grading, excavation, conduit installation, compaction Building and setting up concrete forms to precise specifications Pouring and finishing concrete – forming and finishing skills are a must Operating equipment such as tampers, cut-off saws, and skid steers Collaborating with Project Managers and other teams to get the job done right Reading and interpreting blueprints and site plans to execute top-notch work

Work Experience Requirements:

3 – 5 years of hands-on concrete experience A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract A team player with great organizational and time management skills Someone who can handle the physical demands – lifting 50+ lbs, standing, walking, and bending for long hours Adapt easily to a variety of tasks Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather Must be able to get a variety of security clearances
