**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** As our Concierge at MercyOne, under the supervision of the Manager of Patient Experience, you will exhibit and model a welcoming, helpful and caring presence while delivering specific information, directions and assistance to patient(s), families, visitors and staff within MercyOne. In order to be successful in this role, you’ll need to build trust in all your interactions through your professionalism and work ethic. You are very knowledgeable in all areas of your role but always eager to learn more. You keep impeccable records and knowledge of the current electronic medical record system. Confidentiality is of utmost importance to you. You keep your work area clean and free of clutter. Most of all, you understand how vital your role is in the diagnosing and treating of our patients and you’re eager to help us succeed in making them better. **Day-to-day overview:** + Models excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and professional abilities when interacting with all persons. + Directs, guides, accompanies and/or transports persons to various sites, locations and areas within Mercy Medical Center, along with offering resource materials and general informational assistance. + Maintains the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with a variety of professionals, patients and their families, coworkers, medical staff, and the public while performing general summary details. + Explains and assists in the implementation of hospital policies and procedures for visitors, patients, and the public. + Demonstrate appropriate and effective written, verbal, and nonverbal communication with + Maintains confidentiality regarding all patients and personnel information. + High School Diploma or equivalent required + 2+ year of Customer Service experience demonstrating the following: Emotional Intelligence; Proactive; Inquisitive; Resourceful; Compassionate; Ability to work autonomously; Basic computer skills; Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. + Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate a variety of automobiles + Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire. **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
