About our opportunity: The City of Asheville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Concessionaire (Temp/Seasonal) in the Community and Regional Entertainment Facilities department. This department supports the operation of the Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville, a premier entertainment venue in the region, providing top-notch service to both patrons and performers. What you’ll be doing: + Prepare and serve food and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, to event patrons. + Ensure proper identification of patrons purchasing alcohol, adhering to North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement regulations. + Maintain a sanitized and safe work environment, complying with NC Health Department standards. + Operate Point-of-Sale terminals for cash and credit card sales, ensuring accurate financial reconciliation. + Maintain inventory levels of supplies, equipment, food, and beverages. + Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and assisting patrons. + Collaborate with team members to clean and organize the concession area post-event. + Assist Stand Manager, Bar Manager, or Management with other related duties as needed.
