Computer Science Research Manager, Meta Super Intelligence Labs
**Summary:** Meta is seeking a versatile and experienced computer science research manager to join our wide-ranging research and development teams that drive innovation across various cutting-edge technologies and applications. This role is critical to shaping and ensuring Meta's position as a leader in the tech industry. **Required Skills:** Computer Science Research Manager, Meta Super Intelligence Labs Responsibilities: 1. Be hands-on supporting and leading teams of software engineers and research scientists 2. Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization 3. Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with customers and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects 4. Remain up-to-date on ongoing software development activities within the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 5. 8+ years of experience or PhD and 4+ years of experience in a related industry research and development setting 6. 2+ years of direct management experience, managing researchers and/or engineers 7. Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and infrastructure teams, as well as non-engineering functions 8. Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 9. PhD in the field of computer vision, robotics, machine learning or equivalent 10. Background in generative-ai, 3D computer vision, video and image generation 11. Experience designing machine learning algorithms, including experience creating software for data loading, training, and inference of novel ML architectures 12. Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions 13. Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management 14.
