Job Description

The Computer Science Co-op will assist with engineering projects in a manufacturing environment, gaining hands-on experience in product design, process improvement, and digitalization.

This role will involve working closely with experienced engineers to support ongoing operations, implement improvements, and ensure product quality. T

he ideal candidate has a strong interest in control systems, problem-solving, and applying classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.

QualificationsCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related fieldMin. 2.5 GPAStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPointBasic PowerBI experience preferredBasic understanding of business process analysis and improvement principlesAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksEnthusiasm for learning and applying new concepts in a professional settingRelevant coursework or academic projects in computer science, programming, machine languages, automation and AI capabilitiesAbility to adapt to a fast-paced work environment

WORK CONDITIONS:

Industrial worksite environmentAbility to work in a noisy environment that is open to the elements and with exposure to the inhalation of fumes and solventsProper personal protective equipment is required at all times such as safety shoes, ear plugs/ear muffs, safety glasses, and respirator useAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, gripping, grasping, carrying and pushing/pulling required greater than 90% of the timeKneeling, crouching, squatting and twisting required intermittently on a daily basis
