Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring and mixing ingredients according to specific formulations and recipes, ensuring high-quality product output.
ResponsibilitiesAccurately measure and mix ingredients according to specific formulations and recipes.Perform precise weighing and calculations to ensure correct ingredient proportions.Follow batch cards meticulously to prepare batches according to specifications.Operate and maintain compounding equipment and machinery.Conduct product inspections to ensure all products meet quality and safety standards.Provide samples for quality control testing for the lab.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Document all processes and maintain accurate records of batches.Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure consistency and quality of products.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the compounding process.Essential SkillsExperience in compounding, GMP, mixing, and batch making.Proficiency in production processes and weighing techniques.Knowledge of distillation, chemical compounding, and laboratory procedures.Familiarity with blending and production operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education in food science or a related field is a plus.Previous experience in a compounding or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.Good communication and teamwork skills.Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.Ability to lift and move heavy ingredients and equipment as needed.Work Environment
The role is set in a manufacturing environment where a uniform is provided. During summer months, shorts are permissible due to the heat. As a family-owned business, the culture values hard work and a positive attitude, with events like barbeque week and bagel/pizza parties. The environment is independent, requiring smart calculations and precise documentation. You'll handle expensive ingredients, necessitating a high level of attention to detail and interaction across various levels.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
