Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Immediate Hiring, Knoxville TN, Day shift Mon-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Certification Mandatory The role involves sterile compounding in compliance with USP <797> standards, including compounding testosterone formulations with a seed oil base, GLP1s, and cyclosporine. The technician will maintain a clean and organized compounding environment through routine cleaning and disinfection of work areas and equipment. Accurate documentation of all compounding activities, including batch records, cleaning logs, and quality control checks, is essential. Participation in quality assurance and quality control programs, as well as assisting with inventory management, is expected. Responsibilities + Perform sterile compounding in compliance with USP <797> standards. + Compound testosterone formulations with a seed oil base, GLP1s, and cyclosporine. + Maintain a clean and organized compounding environment with routine cleaning and disinfection. + Accurately document all compounding activities including batch records, cleaning logs, and QC checks. + Participate in QA and QC programs. + Assist with inventory management, including receiving, labeling, and storing compounding materials and supplies. Essential Skills + Pharmacy experience + Compounding skills + USP <797> compliance Additional Skills & Qualifications + Sterile compounding experience preferred + PTCB certification preferred + Registration in TN preferred + 5+ years experience preferred but 1-2 years experience considered + Hospital experience preferred + IV compounding experience a plus + Leadership ability or interest in leadership opportunities a plus + Compounding experience with multiple drugs preferred Work Environment This position operates in a fast-paced environment during the first shift from 9 AM to 5 PM. The facility currently employs six pharmacists, with a total staff of 30, and is located in a 5,000 sq ft facility undergoing a 4,000 sq ft expansion. There are six hoods currently in place, with plans for eight more to be added, providing ample opportunity for growth and leadership in a rapidly expanding startup pharmacy. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
