As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be at the heart of preparing life-saving medications with accuracy, care, and compliance. What You’ll Do: + Prepare sterile medications including pre-filled syringes with exact volumes and air-free contents. + Compound medications under pharmacist supervision using aseptic techniques. + Maintain sterility in ISO-classified environments (laminar flow hoods, cleanrooms). + Follow strict gowning and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination. + Document environmental conditions and compounding records with precision. + Operate and maintain sterile compounding equipment (IV pumps, mixers, filtration systems). + Manage inventory, conduct audits, and support procurement to ensure supply continuity. + Stay current with USP <797>, USP <800>, and state regulations. + Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives. What You Bring: + Experience in sterile compounding (hospital or specialty pharmacy preferred). + Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. + PTCB certification preferred. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Completion of a sterile compounding training program or certification (e.g., PTCB Sterile Compounding Certification) is a plus.
