Job Description

This role involves primarily fulfilling orders as a Pharmacy Technician in a dynamic environment. The position requires a commitment to compounding prescriptions, utilizing USP grade pharmaceutical ingredients to create customized dosage forms for both human and veterinary patients. It combines elements of a chemistry lab with a retail pharmacy, offering a unique experience that focuses on compounding rather than insurance billing.

ResponsibilitiesFulfill pharmacy orders using various techniques such as weighing, mixing, grinding, levigating, and encapsulating.Answer phones and assist customers in the will-call area.Process and type prescriptions accurately and efficiently.Restock drawers and pharmacy areas with necessary supplies.Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, lifting floor mats, and taking out the trash.Vacuum and restock paper products as needed.Launder and fold pharmacy laundry including towels and lab coats.Process payments with customer credit cards and prepare shipping labels.Attend regular team meetings and assist lab supervisors and pharmacists with special projects or tasks.Perform physical tasks such as lifting containers up to 20 lbs, standing for the full shift, and bending to clean work areas.Use fingers, hands, wrists, forearms, and shoulders for various tasks including mixing and labeling.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).Proficiency with pharmacy software and data entry.Strong customer service skills.Experience in order fulfillment and pharmacy support.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in any pharmacy setting.Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (PT) or Oregon Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).High School Diploma or GED.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven reliability and positive attendance record.Ability to work effectively in teams and demonstrate a strong work ethic.Work Environment

This position is located in a spacious and modern facility with excellent employee areas. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with every third Saturday required (working Tuesday to Saturday that week). The role includes a Pharmacy Technician monthly bonus program based on performance in productivity, attendance, teamwork, customer service, and accuracy. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
