Job Title: Compounder

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Compounder to join our team. The successful candidate will comply with all company policies related to employee safety, food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). You will be responsible for setting up and operating assigned mixing machines to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will train and support other employees in the operation of mixing equipment and perform cleaning and sanitization during product changeovers. Your role will involve inspecting machinery before line start-up and after changeovers to ensure readiness, maintaining clear and accurate documentation, and collaborating with coworkers to meet production goals.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate assigned mixing machines to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.Use hand tools as needed for machine operations.Train and support other employees in the operation of mixing equipment.Perform cleaning and sanitization of equipment during product changeovers.Inspect machinery before line start-up and after changeovers to ensure readiness.Take ownership of mixing outcomes by accurately following work orders and troubleshooting issues.Maintain clear, accurate, and legible documentation and records.Collaborate with coworkers, including maintenance and quality assurance teams, to meet production goals.Provide support to other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.Attend all required company training sessions.Essential SkillsProduction experience, particularly in general production and mixing.Understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with at least 2 years of experience.Experience in compounding, blending, batching, and batch making.Familiarity with FDA regulations.Ability to maintain batch records and perform batch mixing.Experience in food manufacturing.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to maintain respectful communication with coworkers at all levels within the organization.Problem-solving skills for equipment and processes in partnership with maintenance.Capability to determine root causes for mistakes/concerns and apply corrective action.Ability to read and write English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Basic math skills.Basic computer skills.Work Environment

The position offers shifts on both the 1st and 2nd shifts, providing flexibility in work hours. You will be part of a growing company with consistent business, enjoying a family-owned atmosphere with a family feel. The company offers incentives such as gas cards and cookouts. There is also a summer incentive program with additional hourly pay from May 1st to August 30th, and opportunities for merit increases following a 6-month review and annually thereafter.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $43680.00/yr.
