This team is responsible for performing limited electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, and support production assembly tasks. These tasks are repetitive in nature and involve building and assembling routine units. Team members determine and follow methods and sequences of operations for assembling cables, soldering, bonding, testing, standard troubleshooting, and manufacturing transducers. They must have knowledge of various build processes within the department and efficiently complete daily tasks according to standard times without compromising product quality.

Job Description

This position will be responsible for performing all aspects of assembly operations in our Manufacturing department including but not limited to; preparing components for production, assembling product, inspecting completed units, and packaging finished goods.   In addition to these core functions this person may also be required to perform tasks such as shipping & receiving, basic housekeeping and inventory control.

Responsibilities:

Move material between manufacturing areas, to and from storage areas, and/or to final product destinationOperate various types of lifting devices (forklift, hoist, crane)Ensure safe material movementTrain new employees on proper material handling techniquesParticipates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement effortsParticipates in maintaining ISO certificationMaintain good housekeeping practices on the shop floor to include keeping work area clean and orderlyAssist in other areas of manufacturing as needed (i.e. shipping & receiving, inventory control, etc.)Inspect products for defects or irregularitiesUse automated systems to verify conformance of partsPlace finished product into designated containers or packaging materialsPerform simple repair and/or rework to productApply identification labels to product


Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of computersExperience working in a manufacturing environment preferredAbility to read blueprints desirableHigh school diploma or equivalentGood communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamworkMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds
