**Job Description Summary**
On this role you will be responsible for managing a group of Engineers on Selection, maintenance and evaluation of electronic components for aerospace applications, including experimental testing, and supplier collaboration. Responsibilities include managing component obsolescence, ensuring data integrity, and driving continuous improvement in processes. The candidate will act as a point of contact between global counterparts and the local site, managing budgets, headcount, and program approvals while ensuring program completion. Preferred qualifications include an MSc in Electronics, strong communication and leadership skills, and experience with DO-254 certification and electronics manufacturing. Analytical, organizational, and project management skills are essential for success in this role.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish operating data, identify experimental tests & evaluate results. Common skill sets include Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC, Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, FPGAs and SoCs.
+ Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments across Electronics and Aerospace Industries.
+ Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
+ Uses judgment Problem Solving techniques (core tools) to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions by exercising Continues Improvement.
+ Uses Engineering criteria to challenge existing processes and find more efficient approaches to provide more value.
+ Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
+ Collaborates with the Electronic Hardware Design team on the Components and supplier selection, aligned with the company policies and strategies.
+ Responsible for Electronic Components Obsolescence Management across multiple sites.
+ Guidance through the Electronic Components Part Creation Process and integration with company's database and libraries, maintaining data integrity and Intellectual property.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Point of contact between Global counterparts and GE Aerospace Local site.
+ Responsible for a complete organization within GE Aerospace Local site.
+ Management of budget, Head Count, and program approvals
+ Responsible for the follow up and completion of programs and Initiatives.
+ Strong Technical contributions to the team.
+ Experience coordinating relevant projects with higher autonomy/ownership
+ Demonstrated Project Management skills (Daily and Visual Management) or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close and manage programs, projects, orders, activities or systems.
+ Bachelor`s degree.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to influence others and lead multidisciplinary teams.
**Desired Characteristics**
+ MSc in Electronics or related field.

+ Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
+ Proven analytical and organizational ability.
+ Working knowledge of DO-254 certification guideline
