At First Student, this role is a critical part of our safety, compliance, and operational infrastructure. The Driver Compliance Operations Specialist supports regulatory compliance, driver qualification standards, and location-level operations by maintaining compliance systems, training staff, and ensuring documentation accuracy across assigned locations.
This position plays a key role in protecting safety, ensuring regulatory alignment, and supporting operational excellence.
Pay: $19.00/hr
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
Promote safe environments and positive collaboration
Upload, manage, and maintain compliance dates and documentation for assigned locations
Review all documents for accuracy prior to entry into compliance systems
Communicate documentation issues and support resolution with locations
Train location staff on compliance programs, processes, and document requirements
Support and maintain the Driver Compliance Program
Troubleshoot compliance platform challenges and operational issues
Maintain compliance standards and escalate issues to the Driver Compliance Supervisor as needed
Support on-site location activities as assigned
Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements
Prepare reports, schedules, and compliance documentation
Maintain accurate operational and personnel records
Schedule meetings and operational activities
Support payroll submission processes
Provide operational and administrative leadership support to location teams
Perform other related responsibilities as required
Required Qualifications3 years of business or operations experience required
Transportation industry experience preferred
Solid understanding of Driver Compliance Programs
Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Provincial requirements for Commercial Drivers
Proven ability to train, coach, and support staff
Proficiency in Microsoft® PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team structure
Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, changing environment
