Compliance Specialist
We have an outstanding Contract position for aCompliance Specialist to join a leading Company located in theGrand Prairie, TX surrounding area. Job Responsibilities: + Determine requirements of exporting and importing defense articles and services under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). + Ensure all company procedures, work instructions, etc. comply with applicable regulations , guidance, and guidance. + Prepare and submit and monitor status of license applications, Technical Assistance Agreements, and requests for Commodity Jurisdiction, Classification, etc . + Coordinate with ECC, PCFs and /or Empowered Officials to ensure and oversee the accurate classification of products according to policies and applicable government guidance. + Ensure continued compliance of C-TPAT program with applicable guidelines (SPU Dallas only). + Monitor all departments' export transactions to ensure technical data, services and /or articles are exported according to U.S. regulations and company procedures. + Establish Export Compliance Coordinators for each area to assist in monitoring of that areas compliance related items . + Assist in compliance audits and investigations and implement necessary corrective actions. + Assist in and retain import and export records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and work instructions. + Ensure import / export documentation is completed properly on a consistent basis according to applicable regulations and company procedures, work instructions, etc . + Conduct departmental training for import/export compliance with various internal/external departments. + Implement a system for conducting site audits for import/export compliance. + Other duties as assigned. + Interface with U.S. Customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, internal customers and suppliers to resolve issues affecting movement of inbound materials. + Monitor import transactions to ensure Entry Summaries are completed and maintained properly. + Maintain compliance procedures and policies to ensure compliance according to the export controls program. + Monitor shipping transactions to ensure transmissions (export declarations) are completed and maintained properly and that no exports are shipped to restricted countries. + Monitor export tools used throughout company to perform Denied Parties screening and product/license determination. + Monitor and apply regulatory changes to product classifications and licensing in accordance with guidelines. + Review and evaluate export transactions involving controlled products and technologie s. Basic Hiring Criteria: + Experience interfacing with us custom brokers, freight, and carrier . + Able to direct information as far as licensing requirements, current license or expired. + Direct traffic as far as licensing and maintaining/ensuring licensing up to date. + Maintaining/directing information for HTS code – very important due to tariff (Nice to have) – validating information in SAP (The Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code, used by U.S. Customs for classifying goods and determining import duties, is a 10-digit code). + Trade compliance certifications are a plus. + CTG certification. + Associates of certified sanctions specialist. This position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to U.S. national security-based export control requirements.
