THIS POSITION REQUIRES ON-SITE WORK IN PENNSYLVANIA
We are looking for an organized and committed Compliance Officer to join our team. In this position, you will conduct inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to ensure adherence to relevant codes, ordinances, and standards. Your contributions will be a key factor in fostering safety and compliance throughout the community.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Perform on-site inspections of buildings and properties to confirm they meet applicable building codes, zoning laws, safety standards, and other regulations.
+ Document inspection results thoroughly, including identifying violations, approvals, and necessary corrective measures.
+ Analyze and enforce compliance with building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other relevant codes as required by the role.
+ Collaborate with contractors, property owners, engineers, and architects to explain inspection outcomes, clarify code requirements, and provide guidance for corrective measures.
+ Approve permits and issue sign-offs after verifying compliance during inspections, as well as conducting follow-ups when corrective actions are needed.
+ Stay informed about updates to local and state codes, ordinances, and industry safety practices.
+ Maintain professionalism while building positive relationships with community stakeholders.
+ Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent (an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred).
+ Certification or licensure in building inspection or code enforcement (e.g., ICC, IAEI, or other recognized certifications).
+ Prior experience in building inspections, construction, or a similar field.
+ Comprehensive understanding of building codes, inspection processes, and local regulations.
+ Strong communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
+ Proficiency with technology and software applications for inspection reporting and documentation.
