EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: This Compliance Investigator position is in our Investigations Division. The majority of duties and responsibilities are processing complaints and conducting investigations, which include: receives, reviews, and evaluates written and oral complaints from the public filed against Licensees, or from other sources of information (BADAR Reports, NPDB Reports, LSP Arrest Reports, US DOJ Press Releases, Public new stories, Malpractice Reports, etc) which indicate a Board licensee may have violated a State/Federal law and/or the Boards Rules and Regulations. Receive complaint filings, initiate processing and opening of investigations in the computer, and prepare investigative files. Researches a variety of internal and external records, to include State and Federal Laws and Board Regulations related to specific investigative case issues. Develop investigative plans for each case, which may include preparing written communications; obtaining and reviewing complex medical records; reviewing malpractice or criminal legal documentation; interviewing licensees, complainants, or other parties; and preparing detailed reports of investigative findings. Routinely collaborate investigative efforts with the Director of Investigations, other Board staff, licensees, and outside legal counsel. Prepare Investigative findings for monthly Board meetings as necessary and testify at Board meetings/hearings as requested.
