Compliance Manager (f/m/d)

For our Group Compliance & Data Protection department , we are looking for a Compliance Manager (f/m/d).

The position is based at our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany.

Compliance is at the core of Heidelberg Materials’ corporate culture. This is reflected in our Code of Business Conduct, in our sustainability commitments or through our membership in the UN Global Compact.

The Compliance & Data Protection department drives and further develops globally the areas of human rights, data protection and general compliance. The General Compliance topics comprise specifically of preventing corruption, anti-money laundering, trade sanctions and compliance incident management. You will be part of the General Compliance team and report directly to the Team Lead General Compliance.

In your position as Compliance Manager, you will be empowered to advance and improve our compliance management day by day. You have global responsibility for compliance topics and at the same time a geographic focus on the area North America. The different Group and Area tasks give you the opportunity to gain an overview of compliance matters from different organisational angles. You will also be in contact with other departments giving you valuable insights into Heidelberg Materials’ business and operations.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Develop, maintain and manage all components of a Compliance Management System including policies, risk assessments, trainings, reporting and case management.

Support and consult globally on compliance topics.

Collaborate with the North America Compliance team and act as their liaison to Group Compliance & Data Protection

Manage compliance communication via various media channels within the company.

Maintain and customise compliance IT tools (e.g. for policy management, risk assessments, reporting, e-learnings, case management).

YOUR PROFILE

University degree or other education plus extended professional experience

Strong interdisciplinary work ability

Compliance or legal education is an advantage, but not a must requirement.

Ideally 3 years of work experience in a similar role

Work experience ideally in the US or with strong exposure to North America

Experience regarding the needs and organisational challenges of an international Group of companies will be highly appreciated.

Intercultural awareness and diplomatic skills

Outstanding personal integrity and trustworthiness

Excellent English language skills, German knowledge would be an advantage

Strong IT affinity

Very good knowledge of MS Office

Organisational and communication skills
