Mission/Function of the role:

We are looking for a recent legal graduate with a keen interest in regulatory compliance topics.  It will provide you with an opportunity to acquires and learn practical knowledge and work experience by supporting the Legal & Compliance – Compliance function to ensure that Siemens’ compliance system is effectively implemented throughout the organisation.

What are the responsibilities of the role?

·       You will work closely with the Lead Country Compliance Officer in assisting and advising business on practical implementation of Compliance rules and legislation in the following areas of responsibility:

o   Anti-corruption.

o   Anti-money Laundering

o   Competition Law

o   Data Privacy

o   Human Rights

o   Ethics

o   Export Control

Legal and regulatory research.Review of customer and supplier contracts.Actively manage and monitor remedial action to be implemented in the business following compliance deficiencies.Assisting with periodic compliance control testing.Assist in presenting compliance training to the organization.Assist in risk identification, monitoring, and remediation activities.

Qualifications and Experience

BCom Law; or LLB Law coupled with business/commercial courses and or qualifications.0-1 year of experienceAny completed courses in the areas of Compliance and/or the listed areas of responsibility will be advantageous.

Competencies:

Strong legal skills and business acumen with a solid understanding of legal principles and regulation in both interpretation and practical application.Keen interest in regulatory law and corporate compliance.Critical ThinkingStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and deliver high quality work within the applicable timeframe.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multi-cultural international environment.Ability to work under pressure on confidential and critical topics.Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Highest level of ethical mindset and conduct
