Responsibilities The Opportunity As a Compliance Customs and Trade Analyst for Europe, you’ll play a key role in building and improving Import & Export (I&E) processes across the region. You’ll help ensure that customs operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with European regulations. This role involves working directly with customs clearance activities, including reviewing and validating shipping and customs documents for products, raw materials, and machinery. You'll also support audit readiness by helping ensure that all import/export operations are accurate and traceable. A key part of your work will focus on automation — supporting the development and implementation of digital systems to streamline compliance activities and reduce manual work. You’ll help manage special trade programs (such as Authorized Economic Operator or Free Trade Zones), support audits, and contribute to launching new projects with the right customs and trade requirements in place. Ultimately, your work will reduce risk, avoid delays or penalties, and improve cost efficiency across the European supply chain. Your Impact As a Compliance C&T Analyst, your responsibilities would include: Mapping trade tools currently in use Build a baseline of free trade agreements, special programs, free trade zones, and duty regimes used across the region. Reviewing and optimizing Incoterms Analyze which Incoterms are being used and create strategies based on them to improve efficiency — in collaboration with the ocean procurement team. Finding new cost-saving opportunities Identify ways to optimize duties using trade programs that support the team’s productivity goals. Supporting automation and digital improvements Work with global excellence and continuous improvement teams to automate trade processes and boost team efficiency. Helping deliver yearly strategies Support planning and forecasting activities alongside the customs & trade team and ocean procurement manager. Standardizing and sharing knowledge Help unify and document trade processes to improve decision-making and create consistency across countries and teams. Collaborating across teams and sectors Strengthen relationships to ensure smooth cross-border operations and share best practices between sectors. Creating and maintaining SOPs Develop and manage procedures to ensure high service levels for internal customers. Driving measurable savings Contribute to a 4% year-over-year productivity improvement in customs and trade costs, targeting ~$65M in savings between 2023–2025, with more planned for 2026+. Building global communities of practice Encourage collaboration and idea-sharing across the global trade and compliance network. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Education • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in International Trade, Customs Experience • 2-4 years in related to customs & trade and/or compliance • English Fluency both written and verbal • Utilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problems • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively across multi-functional, sector, and business teams • Experience in being part of and supporting large, complex best practices or projects • Experience with government portals within the different countries in the region • Advanced Microsoft Excel If this is an opportunity that interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet 100% of the requirements.
