We are looking for experienced Compliance Counsel to support Market Area Americas, one of Ericsson’s largest and most strategic market areas. You will be part of a dynamic team that is pivotal in maintaining Ericsson’s Ethics and Compliance Program and responsible for providing tactical advice to business and organizational units across North America on anti-bribery and corruption and fraud prevention. You will develop strategic partnerships and work closely with other functions in the region and globally, including senior leadership, to implement and enhance our compliance program and related initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader with strong subject matter expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
What you will do: Promote a culture of compliance, transparency, and openness to raise concerns.Drive ethics and integrity initiatives, including fraud prevention, anti-bribery, and FCPA compliance.Assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and policy compliance risks.Manage multiple compliance matters, prioritizing by risk and urgency.Lead and execute solutions to compliance challenges with risk-based analysis.Prepare clear summaries and recommendations for compliance decisions.Support and advise business units in the US and Canada on compliance matters.Provide clear compliance updates, risk insights, and KPIs to stakeholders.Stay informed on local business activities, processes, and regulations.Collaborate with internal teams and external parties on compliance needs.Set compliance priorities and develop annual risk-based compliance plans.Contribute to global policy development and support local implementation.Conduct risk assessments and support remedial action planning and monitoring.Deliver and track compliance training tailored to local requirements.Implement and oversee Third Party Management (TPM) processes.Manage conflict of interest cases and monitor gifts, entertainment, and hospitality compliance.Support reporting and investigations of violations using the case management system.Coordinate with legal and investigation teams on regulator interactions and deadlines.The skills you bring: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.8+ years work experience in compliance and/or legal, with specific experience in anti-bribery and corruption compliance.High integrity with values aligned to respect, professionalism, and perseverance; empathetic, fair, and objective.Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.Strategic thinker with sound legal judgment and problem-solving ability.Deep knowledge of compliance laws and regulations, especially anti-bribery and corruption.Skilled in risk assessment and mitigation planning.Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong judgment under pressure.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in high-stakes, fast-paced environments.Proficient in analyzing data to identify trends and inform compliance decisions.Culturally aware with international experience; flexible to work across time zones.Independent and goal-driven; proactive in managing responsibilities.Strong networking and collaboration skills; comfortable engaging with all organizational levels.Juris Doctorate and valid license to practice law.Fluent in English; additional language a plus.Solid business acumen and understanding of corporate operations.Willing to travel up to 30%.What happens once you apply?

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
