**Job Description:**
**Department Overview**
The Global Compliance Department is responsible for overseeing Regulatory Compliance across TDBG in accordance with the Global Compliance Department Mandate, Framework and Standards. This includes independently assessing the adequacy, adherence, and effectiveness of Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) programs and controls in the business. The department also delivers objective guidance and independent challenge to the business, proactively managing regulatory change and providing trusted and reliable reporting, advice and opinion to senior leadership and the Board on the state of regulatory compliance risks, controls, and outcomes.
As part of Corporate Office Compliance, you will engage in day-to-day support of various Non-Compliance Oversight Functions (NCOFs) and Risk Owners (ROs). As a second line of defense function, your work will be focused on monitoring the RCM activities of Corporate Functions while reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Office Compliance. The role of the Compliance Business Manager is to:
+ Support the RCM activities of ROs and NCOFs across the Bank
+ Provide advisory services utilizing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on RCM Program requirements
+ Monitoring activities of ROs and NCOFs in compliance with the RCM Framework and Standards
+ Provide objective review and challenge of program deliverables and outcomes
+ Build strong relationships with RO and NCOF partners
**Job Details**
+ Conduct Portfolio Management for ROs and NCOFs, providing guidance on RCM deliverables and compliance
+ Provide objective review and challenge on implementation of RCM Standards by ROs and NCOFs
+ Act as SME providing sound advice and guidance to RO and NCOF partners
+ Engage with stakeholders across the Bank to support reporting on RCM activities and tracking RCM deliverables
+ Prepare summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and any other required documentation to effectively report on NCOF and RO RCM activities
+ Assist with oversight of Regulatory Change Management
+ Promote alignment with the RCM Framework and Standards
+ Keep current on emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the compliance functions, related tools, and techniques.
+ Participate fully as a member of the Global Compliance team, support a positive work environment that promotes service, quality, innovation, teamwork, and timely communication of issues/points of interest.
+ Participate in personal performance management and development activities
+ Exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality and escalating issues where appropriate.
+ Assist on special projects / tasks as required.
**Job Requirements**
+ Undergraduate degree
+ 7+ years relevant experience
+ Working knowledge of the RCM program
+ A high degree of professionalism, poise and leadership and strong communication skills, with the ability to represent Corporate Office Compliance with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise
+ The ability to work collaboratively across multiple management teams.
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to elicit requirements from business perspective, synthesize the information, and articulate those requirements in a manner that can be easily understood.
+ Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities combined with an attention to detail and strong organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
+ Proven ability to develop good business relationships with internal partners. Display flexibility to adapt to, and work effectively within a variety of situations, and with various individuals or groups.
+ Ability to articulate critical issues for escalation and decisions while maintaining ownership of deliverables. Understanding of Compliance Program and laws and regulations as it applies to the financial services sector.
+ Knowledge of relevant Canadian financial industry legislations.
+ Strong research, investigative and organizational skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking/presentation skills and well-developed listening and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to deal with conflicting points of view and to effect creative and responsive solutions.
