Job Title: Compliance Auditor

Salary: £27,800 rising to £29,200 with developments in the role / H19/N19

Contract: Full time & permanent

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

The Opportunity:

Join Caterpillar’s Caterpillar Quality Management System (CQMS) & Customer Acceptance Validation (CAV) Auditing Team and become part of a group that plays a critical role in maintaining quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across our operations.

This is a hands-on, development-focused role where you’ll be trained to carry out internal audits aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards. You’ll gain exposure to digital tools, support external audits, and contribute to smarter, more efficient ways of working. As part of your development, you’ll complete a recognised Internal Audit qualification, giving you a strong foundation in quality assurance.

What you will do:

As a Compliance Auditor, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

Conduct internal audits to support our Quality Management System

Assist with external audits (2nd and 3rd party)

Maintain and monitor systems to ensure compliance

Use digital tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Apps) to enhance audit reporting

Present findings and insights to stakeholders

Handle sensitive data responsibly, in line with GDPR and company policies

What You Can Demonstrate:

Audit: Able to conduct quality-related audits (e.g. CQMS, CAV) and assess compliance against defined standards.

Digital Competence: Confident using ETQ software modules and Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables) to manage and analyse data.

Technical Aptitude: Comfortable reading, interpreting, and working with technical information and documentation.

Communication & Collaboration: Able to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation and build strong working relationships to support improvement.

What You May Have:

A Levels or BTEC Equivalent to A-C

Competence in Power BI and Power Apps

Passion for developing digital solutions

Six Sigma Green Belt Qualification
