Join our dynamic UK Demand Generation team and play a pivotal role in driving our social media campaigns to new heights. This role will execute marketing campaigns on “always-on” social media channels to drive continued growth in acquisition volume and improvements in investment efficiency.
How will you make an impact in this role?
As a member of the EMEA Regional MLRO organizaiton, the candidate will manage a variety of AML compliance related matters on the merchant acquiring European business operations, providing advice/guidance and overseeing implementation of Enterprise and AML policies and procedures to achieve compliance with legal obligations and Company policy. As part of the 2 Line of Defense, the candidate will:
Identify and analyze AML legal requirements applicable to the merchant business activities performed in the EEA countries where American Express Payments Europe, S.L. (AEPE), is licensed to operate with other business models other than a permanent establishment
Provide daily AML regulatory advice/guidance to the GMS business leaders and other key stakeholders (LOBCO, GCO, OE, Compliance Regulatory, etc.)
Act as an AML Subject Matter Expert to meet all relevant external and internal applicable AML regulatory requirements
Execute proper AML oversight of the different AEPE acquisition models, ensuring regulatory and internal policy requirements are being met
Assist managing of AML regulatory interactions and AML regulatory reporting
Perform AML risk assessment of new AEPE/GMS acquisition models/initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
University Degree in Law/Business Management. Working knowledge of payment services and AML/CTF regulations will be a plus
A minimum of 1-2 years of compliance related work experience in an EU bank, financial institution and/or non-banking financial services industry
Analytical skills. Proficient on MS Office
Knowledge of company operating processes within a multinational company such as Amex is a plus, as well as prior experience in Amex merchant business and Acquiring Service Providers' acquisition models
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to build strong relationships with business partners, compliance stakeholders and other peers
Fluency in English, both verbal and written is a must
Problem solving and strategical mindset, good analytical skills
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in Spain is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
