YOUR IMPACT
A position where you will help ensure the firm is compliant with the appropriate rules and regulations within its private wealth management business. We're looking for a professional to join our Private Wealth Management (PWM) Compliance team, who wants to use their drive, enthusiasm and abilities to provide world class advisory and compliance coverageto our PWM business.
PWM Compliance is a unit within Global Compliance that services the Private Wealth Management area within Asset and Wealth Management. The role of Compliance within PWM is to partner with the business in order to conduct and supervise its business in compliance with regulations and firm policies, help to reduce the firm's regulatory and reputation risk, and reinforce the firm's culture of compliance. The Warsaw based Compliance team is a part of the Global PWM Compliance team with other team members in London, Switzerland, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bengaluru. The PWM Compliance team primarily focuses on supporting the PWM business with respect to: support for the business’s growth strategy and other projects and initiatives; review of conduct risk through surveillances, programmatic and forensic reviews ; regulatory guidance on travel and cross-border topics; review of client on-boarding across a diverse range of client jurisdictions and legal structures; review and approval of marketing materials; trade approvals including complex products and lending; review of errors and client complaints; training of new rules and regulations and providing on-going day to day support and advice to the PWM Business. You will primarily focus on controls and surveillances for the above mentioned business areas across all relevant jurisdictions but you will also contribute to the broader PWM Compliance program.
Role Responsibilities:
Working in collaboration with the PWM EMEA Compliance team to deliver day to day control and advisory functions including but not limited to:
Conduct thematic controls on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory requirements Post-Trade surveillance and compliance monitoring of business activities, including review of automated surveillance reportsReview and approval of marketing materials prepared for distribution to clients/prospects across EMEAReview of travel activity and assessment of cross-border rules/situationsMonitoring of record keeping requirements / audit trails / file note review Trade reviews/approvals including complex productsSupport internal and external audit preparation workWorking in collaboration with the PWM EMEA / Global PWM Compliance colleagues on investigative trade and client reviews, and targeted forensics, including but not limited to focused Conduct Risk reviews including review of emails, client files and discussions with PWM professionals Helping to expand and develop the Compliance program for PWM, including identifying emerging risks, devising and implementing new monitoring test and controls, and reporting on the results of those tests to Compliance and business senior managementForensic reviews including E-surveillance and email trafficBasic Qualifications:
University degree and/or professional compliance / financial services qualificationStrong investigative, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgmentGood interpersonal skills and effective written/oral communication skills (fluent English; other European language skills like German are of substantial benefit)Excellent attention to detailProficient in MS office tools including strong knowledge of MS-ExcelAbility to handle multiple tasks and work under pressureAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:
