The Hilton Tampa and Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Centerare seeking a Complex Director of Property Operations to lead engineering and facilities strategy across two dynamic, high-profile hotels in the heart of Tampa.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the physical operation of both properties, ensuring our buildings, systems, and guest environments operate at the highest standard while supporting exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance.


What will I be doing?

As Property Operations Director, you would be responsible for directing and overseeing the functionality and safety of the facility to protect the well-being of all guests and team members in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

   Leadership & Oversight

Provide direct leadership and strategic oversight for all property operations across both hotelsDevelop, coach, and hold accountable Directors, Assistant Directors, and Managers within Engineering and Property OperationsEnsure consistent standards, processes, and performance across both assets

Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational, safety, and facilities issues

 

 

Engineering & Maintenance


 

Oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and asset longevityEnsure compliance with all life safety, fire, elevator, pool, and regulatory inspectionsDirect response and recovery for major system failures or emergencies

Ensure proper documentation, logs, and compliance records are maintained

 

 

Financial & Asset Management
 

Develop and manage operating budgets for property operations across both hotelsControl labor, utilities, and maintenance expenses to meet or exceed budget targetsPartner with ownership and asset management on capital planning, FF&E, and long-term asset preservation

Oversee bid processes, vendor contracts, and service agreements
 

Capital Projects & Renovations 

Lead capital projects, renovations, and PIP execution across both propertiesCoordinate with ownership, brand, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget

Minimize guest impact during construction and renovation activities

 

 

Brand & Compliance
 

Ensure compliance with all brand standards, QA audits, and PIP requirementsLead preparation for brand inspections and audits

Partner with brand representatives to address deficiencies and execute corrective action plans

 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration
 

Work closely with General Managers, Finance, Rooms, and F&B leadership to support overall hotel performanceProvide operational input into forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planningSupport guest satisfaction by proactively addressing facility-related concerns
