Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Complex Assembler. The hourly rate for this position is $26.45 per hour. The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** **Job Summary:** • Follow print specifications and build sheets to perform a variety of assembly, subassembly, and disassembly operations to build aircraft engine booster, transfer and gear fuel pumps. • Perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the certified operator program. • Assistance may be given to other operators on proper operational procedures. **Job Responsibilities:** • Assemble fuel pumps and subassemblies for a variety of aircraft engine booster, transfer, and gear fuel pumps using components such as bearings, connectors, covers, housing, impellers, rotors, screens, shafts, stators, valves, etc. using a variety of hand tools including wire cutters, screwdrivers, wrenches and gages. • Obtain Soldering certification prior to performing soldering operations. • Disassemble fuel pumps and component parts to rebuild to customer specifications and/or to identify and repair malfunctions. May require finished product to be completed, disassembled and rebuild. • Perform part marking, nameplate generation and various safety cabling and/or lock-wiring operations. • Constantly visual all assembled units to detect any irregularities. • Conduct tests on aircraft fuel pump subassemblies to determine percentages, degrees, and angles of imbalance to blueprint requirements. • Perform such activities as checking incoming parts against bills of material; stripping wires, measuring and numbering wires and placing them in staging containers; degreasing parts; attaching wires in proper sequence. • Visually inspect all connections for defects and repair defective solder joints following instructions. • Maintain accurate lot control (QCP 6.0) traceability, record keeping, logbook entries, NCR’s (QCP 11.0) and associated documentation. Accurately transcribe documentation details from individual device folders to master product documentation package. • Chart and plot data per SPC requirement. • Move material within the cell and perform minor equipment maintenance. **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of work location; no relocation benefit is provided. • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
