About the Role
As a divisional Market Intelligence team, we provide strategic insights of divisional interest and ensure a continuous flow of intelligence about our markets, competitors, and customers into the global organization of Harman Automotive. With a culture of high performance, we take the role of thought leaders to facilitate new processes and install new standards for working with market insights across the division. We are part of the divisional strategy department, bringing the market view into strategic discussions and decisions within the automotive division.
We want to bring our competitive intelligence to the next level, and we are looking for a Competitive Intelligence Manager who will be responsible to deliver insightful, actionable, and timely competitive intelligence to support our business teams.
What You Will Do
Define and maintain visibility of relevant players in Harman’s competitive landscapeCollect, evaluate, and analyze business strategies and technological capabilities of our key competitors and relevant start-ups in automotive electronics and related industries that represent opportunities or disruptors.Build and maintain the team’s expertise for competitive intelligence and lead the process of identifying, analyzing and communicating key insights from competitor activities to relevant stakeholders and to senior management.Manage and improve the competitive intelligence program for the Automotive Division. Drive usage of the program and develop KPIs to monitor engagement.Work as an internal consultant to support business teams on competitive intelligence and launch/lead joint projects to identify, source, and analyze competitor data and insights, for example carrying out essential industry and competitor analytics for business planning purpose or sales activities on regular basis and on-demand.Collaborate closely with other related teams such as Innovation, Product Management and M&A.Train and advise the business teams how to work with competitive intelligence, which includes developing and teaching courses for Harman University.Prepare and execute workshop activities with internal and external stakeholders.Create and present actionable insights and reports for critical business decisions.What You Need
Successfully completed master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, preferrable an electrical engineering background and/or MBA.At least 10 years of experience in project management and/or management consulting, preferably in the areas of strategy, technology management, market intelligenceSeveral years of relevant professional experience in automotive or consumer electronicsExtensive experience in analyzing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data, observing patterns, drawing correct conclusions, and using data to evaluate competitive activities, strategic direction, and core competencies.Excellent communication skills, experience in making presentations to top management.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Enthusiastic, curious, and quickly understand trends and new technologies.Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial drive,Strong communication skills and a team player.What Makes You Eligible

Salary Ranges:
