Primary Responsibilities:
Support the Finance team in delivering strategic projects related to market trends, customer performance, and competitive activity. Conduct financial and market research to develop company profiles, assess competitive positioning, and identify risks and opportunities. Asist in building recurring reporting tools and dashboards to monitor key business and market indicators. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, to analyze industry data and generate insights that inform business planning and forecasting. Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for Finance leadership, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and the Board of Directors. Contribute to ad hoc analyses related to corporate finance, operations, and strategic planning.
Education/Background Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a four-year university program focused in finance, business, management, economics or a related field. Junior or senior level preferred. Prior experience in financial analysis, market research, or data analytics is an asset but not required.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and market data. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present findings clearly to various audiences. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments. Interest in the food, agriculture, or CPG industry is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Part-time, on-site in Livonia, MI. Flexible scheduling based on class schedules. Typical office environment. May periodically travel to visit company facilities in USA and Canada.
