Join a dynamic team in the oil and gas industry as a Competent Person for Lifting Operations (CPLO), where your expertise will ensure safe and efficient lifting operations across multiple sites in Mozambique. Working a 28/28 rotational basis.

Role Overview

Technical Authority for all Lifting & Handling activities in TEPMA1. Oversee and supervise lifting activities and personnel at TEPMA1. Coordinate lifting operations with stakeholders and service companies. Define HSE requirements for lifting activities. Review and report on Lifting HSE statistics quarterly. Conduct analysis of high potential lifting incidents and implement action plans. Participate in lifting accident investigations. Implement and maintain the Lifting Management System (LMS). Supervise and plan critical lifts, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Review and approve Critical Lifting Plans. Conduct condition checks on lifting equipment and accessories. Develop technical documents and procedures for lifting operations. Prepare weekly and monthly CPLO reports.

Skills & Qualifications

Site logistics expertise in lifting operations. Proficient in handling cranes (onshore & offshore) and lifting equipment. Knowledge of Lifting Management Systems (LMS). Strong analytical skills for incident analysis and reporting. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment. Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Portuguese and French is desirable.

Education & Experience

Engineering degree required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in handling & lifting operations in the oil and gas sector. Experience as an inspector for general lifting equipment.
