Reporting to the Vice President Total Rewards and HR Technology, the Compensation Manager leads the strategic design, execution, and oversight of the organization's compensation programs, ensuring they align with business objectives and market competitiveness. This role collaborates with leadership to develop equitable, data-driven solutions while guiding a team of compensation professionals to achieve organizational goals. Key Responsibilities + Develop and implement compensation strategies, policies, and programs that align with company objectives. + Oversee market analysis and create salary structures, job families, and career path frameworks. + Lead the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, bonus payouts, and equity award allocations. + Oversee nationwide compliance with wage laws, pay transparency regulations, and tip regulations, ensuring audit readiness. + Administer and ensure compliance with equity programs, including SOX reporting, grant submissions, vesting events, and peer equity analysis, and assist with annual proxy preparation. + Create and maintain training materials on compensation topics (e.g., Compensation 101, Equity 101) for Operations and Support Center. + Provide strategic guidance to senior leaders and HR partners on compensation matters such as job evaluations, salary adjustments, retention strategies, and organizational design. + Oversee participation in compensation surveys and analyze market trends to guide pay decisions. + Lead and mentor a team of compensation professional(s), fostering development and growth. + Collaborate with HR Technology, Real Estate, FP&A, Payroll, and other functional areas to address compensation-related issues and inquiries. + Administrator in Mercer IPE software for effective organizational design and job leveling. + Develop and deliver presentations and reports to executive leadership on compensation programs, training initiatives, and compliance updates. + Perform other tasks and projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities + Advanced knowledge of Workday required. + Strong understanding of human resources principles and best practices in compensation, including job analysis and evaluation. + In-depth knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and statutes related to compensation and employment. + Proficiency in survey and market pricing management, including participation in and analysis of compensation surveys. + Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in formulas such as XLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, and INDEX/MATCH. + Proven skill in conducting compensation studies and preparing sound, actionable recommendations. + Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion. + Skilled in building rapport with employees and managers during job reviews and related discussions. + Strong interpersonal skills to work with and support diverse populations, both internally and externally. + Leadership, communication, and project management skills. Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree: Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree and CCP certification required.
