CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Compensation Consultant serves as a strategic partner to HR and business leaders, delivering expert guidance on compensation design, performance management, and workforce planning. This role supports the development and implementation of equitable, market-aligned compensation programs and performance frameworks that drive employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Serves as a subject matter expert to HR Business Partners and department leaders.
+ Presents findings and recommendations to leadership, including compensation assessments and pay equity reviews.
+ Collaborates with Talent Management and HRIS to ensure data integrity and system alignment.
+ Conducts job evaluations, market pricing, and internal equity analyses.
+ Develops and maintains salary structures, merit matrices, and incentive models.
+ Supports compensation planning cycles, including annual merit and bonus programs.
+ Partners with HR leadership to align performance metrics with compensation outcomes.
+ Provides consultation on performance calibration, goal setting, and rating distributions.
+ Analyzes performance data to identify trends and recommends program enhancements.
+ Ensures compensation practices comply with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
+ Supports audits, internal reviews, and documentation of compensation decisions.
+ Contributes to the development of dashboards and KPIs to monitor compensation and performance trends.
+ Participates in cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and enhance employee experience.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required.

Department Specific Functions
+ Helps ensure the accuracy and timely dissemination of operational dashboard reports and other standard management information.
+ Provides analytical support for designated compensation special projects as assigned.
+ Produces analyses to inform the annual budget planning process, helping to ensure the creation of accurate, realistic, and optimized fiscal year budgets.
+ Develops recommendations for strengthening compensation plan.
+ Assists stakeholders with the interpretation of compensation plan results, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
+ Maintains accuracy of faculty compensation data utilized by multiple parties.
+ Effectively leads and drives complex department-wide compensation projects to ensure the organization’s strategic objectives are achieved.
